Am I the only one who finds it odd that the return ballots are to be sent to one of the people running for office? Why would that person allow themselves to be placed in a potentially ethically compromised position? The lack of foresight here is appalling.
I agree that the past election process was less than ideal. The membership, however has elected new management, and the newly elected board and officers are determined to ensure that past errors in the election process will be rectified before another election is due. The person who received the ballots is scrupulously honest, fortunately...he lost the election, for example. Sometimes folks who are honest to a fault are unaware of the way an action might look to a stranger, and I believe this is the case with the ballot reciever in this past election. As the new Vice President, I and the rest of the officers hope to help move the PDCA into a more professional organization, and one which is responsive to its members, as well. We welcome your comments, and we hope to hear from you when you have problems or suggestions to help us to attain that goal.
